Schmackie's Trip Parade, 6/5/10
124:57 minutes (57.2 MB)
This is the first FRC show with the new mixer. There's a weird, staticy effect on the mic, which didn't bother me at all. But I think you could hear the porn videos popping up from Skank, our virus-infected computer during my show. I hate viruses. Shame on all you virus-starters.

Schmackie's Trip Parade, 3/13/10 (featuring Holy Rolling Empire)
188:44 minutes (172.79 MB)
This show featured an interview with Orin and Dave from Holy Rolling Empire, who were bound for South-by-Southwest. I also got to "world-debut" three new songs that Holy Rolling Empire recently finished recording. Also, I went an hour longer than usual since Tornado Alley was out of town.

The first five minutes didn't record for some reason. Fast forward to exactly five minutes into the show and the rest is there. Peace.

Schmackie's Tea Party to Absorb Psychedelic Summer/Sundae
When I started Psychedelic Summer back in late May, it was basically to help hold a slot for Bobbi Childs (of Blue Dolphin Hotel), who was leaving to spend the summer elsewhere. Her time away has now been extended to at least November. Therefore, I have decided to discontinue the program. However, I have enjoyed spinning the psychedelic music so much that I am incorporating it into Schmackie's Tea Party. STP will now be a mix of both genres. I'll continue to play brand new stuff from today's hottest indie-rock artists, but I'll also be adding some mind-bending psychedelic music to th

Dr. Christopher Weigand to Discuss Benefits of Psilocybin on Psychedelic Summer
I'm very excited to be hosting Dr. Chris Weigand on Pychedelic Summer this Sunday, June 28th. I will be asking Dr. Weigand about his study, which concluded that psilocybin, the active ingredient in magic mushrooms, is helpful in reducing obsesseive/compulsive symptoms in patients with OCD.
I'll also be spinning some great, lost psychedelic gems and serving up a mini-tribute to Sky Saxon, former leader of The Seeds, who passed away on the same day as Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett.

Golden Boots
I recently had the pleasure of hosting Ryan and Dimitri from Golden
Boots on my show and getting to "world-premiere"
songs from their fantastic new album The Winter of Our Discotheque.
Not only were the GB boys gracious guests, the album, which releases on
Park the Van records on the 27th of this month, blew me away!
