The Meow Mix Episode 15! Listen to the archive at http://freeradiochukshon.org/node/794
With two working turntables again, I tied up some lose ends from previous shows and then returned to my default format of playing records from bands I’ve seen live over the years.
First I honored one more departed record label, Allied Recordings, with a set of 90s pop punk bands like Spoke and J Church.
After that, I went back and forth in time, playing records from shows in late 2009 and middle 2007. On occasions, time seemed to fold in on itself when I played bands that I saw in both years like Songs for Moms, Mika Miko, Calvin Johnson, and Maserati.
