Welcome to the Procession of Dead Record Labels.

In honor of the recent All Souls Procession in Tucson—and a week late due to technical difficulties—today I celebrated record labels that are no longer with us. Some of these labels may still offer back catalogs, but none of them are actively putting out new records by new bands. But there was a time when these labels gave the world access to some of the best bands. Today I chose to commemorate: Touch & Go, Trance Syndicate, Amphetamine Reptile, and Empty Records. I might honor additional, departed labels on future shows!
