Today's show was all about getting you excited for Calvin Johnson's appearance at Solar Culture, this Wed! Calvin's voice was all over the show today, via his solo records plus his bands Beat Happening, Dub Narcotic Sound System, and Sons of the Soil. (I have Halo Benders only on tape and CD, alas, and this show was all vinyl). His new project is called The Hive Dwellers, who have no recordings yet as far as I know, but we'll all experience the live version on Wed!

I played many other bands on Calvin's perfect label, K Records. Plus I played Ian Svenonious bands The Make Up and Scene Creamers, as his new project Chain and the Gang will be sharing the stage with Calvin on Wed! And I can't wait for our local openers, Golden Boots and The Tambourines!
