México recibirá 420 millones de dólares, de los cuales 260 corresponden a apoyo a la Marina mexicana para la compra de aeronaves

Washington, 18 Jun (Notimex).- El Senado de Estados Unidos aprobó hoy el proyecto de gastos suplementarios para Irak por 106 mil millones de dólares, que incluye 420 millones de dólares para México, con lo cual quedó completado su trámite legislativo.

Radio Ñomndaa, en español La palabra del agua, es una radio comunitaria e indígena del estado de Guerrero. Nace como parte del proyecto de autonomía del pueblo nanncue ñomndaa (amuzgo) en el municipio de Suljaa' (Xochistlahuaca). Su caso es significativo dentro de una problemática más amplia en México que tiene que ver con la falta de pluralidad informativa y los derechos a la libertad de expresión y a la información.

Radio Ñomndaa, The Word of the Water in English, is an indigenous community radio station in the Mexican state of Guerrero. It was formed as part of the autonomous organizing of the Nanncue Ñomndaa (Amuzgo) people in the municipality of Suljaa' (Xochistlahuaca). It is a worthy case study, given the underlying situation of media monopolies and the rights to the freedom of expression and information in Mexico.

La Presidencia de la República publicó ayer en el Diario Oficial de la Federación (DOF) la nueva ley de la Policía Federal (PF), que a partir de este martes dejará ser preventiva, pues tendrá facultades de investigación de delitos ya cometidos, incluida la posibilidad legal de intervenir llamadas telefónicas en pesquisas relacionadas con el crimen organizado.

Siete países: Francia, Austria, Luxemburgo, Grecia, Hungría, Polonia y el mes pasado Alemania, han levantado moratorias a la siembra de la única variedad de maíz transgénico aprobada en Europa: el Mon 810, un maíz Bt de Monsanto, resistente a insectos. Italia tiene una prohibición general a todos los cultivos genéticamente modificados, mientras un referéndum en Suiza estableció en 2005 cinco años de moratoria en contra de los cultivos comerciales, que el gobierno decidió ampliar hasta 2013.

El presidente del consejo de directores de Smithfield Foods se llama Joseph Luter III. Vive en un condominio de lujo en Manhattan y se mueve por el mundo en un jet de la empresa y un yate privado. El periodista Jeff Tietz, de Rolling Stone, cuenta que el empresario se describe a sí mismo como "un hombre rudo en un negocio rudo". Según él, la mayoría de los vegetarianos son neuróticos.
La compañía líder en la engorda y procesamiento de puercos es también una formidable maquinaria contaminante. Cada año genera toneladas de basura que destruyen ríos, matan millones de peces y enferman personas.

Well, now it turns out that the goverment of Mexico found that one of the first cases of this swine flu was reported to have appeared in Perote, Verzacruz in Mexico in the comunity La Gloria where the farm Granjas de Carroll, owned by the Smithfield company, was reported to be contaminating the enviroment. The goverment of Mexico is spreading panic in the population, but nobody is talking about the negligence and failure to punish the company.The past Saturday, Felipe Calderon president of Mexico sign a new law that allow him and the security forces of health to enter in houses to isolate people possibly found ill with the flu virus. So basically, the forces of the goverment can totally take people from homes with that excuse. The mexican goverment is begining to talk about closing airports and bus stations in Mexico City and to suspend urban transport in the city. So WTF with the people? What is behind of all this? There is panic in Mexico city, and no to much real information. The reality is that the goverment has the responsibility for corruption, plenty of knowledge about cases of epidemic flu in Veracruz Perote since 2008, and more behind, the people in Veracruz were protesting against the farm since 2005!!!However Mexico city is in an economic crisis, a pandemic virus or just panic. Just keep an eye in what is going on, because this kind of panic situations are really easy for the goverments to abuse rights of people.

Smithfield Foods is a global food company that claims to provide good food in a responsible manner.The truth is they have a farm with the brand "Granjas de Carroll" in Perote, Veracruz, Mexico, where they are poisoning potable water, and the environment trowing dead pigs in holes without sanitary measures. They own different brands all over the world. The American subsidiary of this multinational company was expelled from North Carolina and Virginia in the United States for not fulfilling sanitary measures.   

In Mexico, there is a movement of environmentalists that have a struggle against this company Carroll  Farms. There are now around 20 towns that are part of this movement. 5 activists face charges.
