Probablemente las recientes redadas en Arizona la semana pasada fueron tan sólo un ejemplo de lo que le espera al Suroeste de los Estados Unidos. Esta semana esta a punto de ser aprobada la propuesta de ley SB1070, tan sólo falta la firma de la gobernadora Jan Brewer.

DEA and ICE terrorize Latino
communities with racist “operatives”

Tucson April 15- At 8 a.m. in Tucson
terror began in Latino communities. Telephones started to ring and
the word began to spread: raids in the Latino neighborhoods in
southern Tucson. Thanks to the timely communication many people went
to the places of the raids to bear witness to possible human rights
violations of the detained people. Nonetheless, journalists along
with citizens were harassed by DEA, FBI and ICE agents who were
carrying out the operation. Along the length of Sixth Avenue in
southern Tucson, agents began to question and demand identification
from the people of color that were on the street. The agents stopped
in local businesses asking people for identification, they entered
peoples' homes and stopped Latino motorists to verify their legal
status. It seems that the objective of the operation was racial
because the agents in charge of the “operation” were picking
people out because of the color of their skin.

In Mexico hundreds of people have been arrested and detained since 2005 in violent attacks of the police, which has affected thousands of people, especially

Vendrá el Invierno, a pesar de que el titular de la Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público Guillermo Carstens declare que México está ya tocando fondo en la depresión económica y que la economía se mantendrá en un punto horizontal, los bolsillos de los mexicanos hace mucho que tocaron fondo, por eso en lo que va del año 2009 han muerto 246 mexicanos tratando de cruzar la frontera norte. El gobierno mexicano y sus diputados con su sueldo de 77 mil 745 pesos temen un estallido social. El estallido social como el Invierno con su pandemia anticipada es inminente. En los primeros siete meses del año, 246 mexicanos fallecieron en su intento por cruzar la frontera con Estados Unidos sin documentos; la mayoría de los decesos ocurrieron en Arizona y la principal causa de muerte fue la deshidratación, informó la Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores (SRE)

Destacó que los connacionales muertos se encuentran en un rango de edad que va de los 18 a los 45 años.

El demócrata Patrick Leahy, jefe de la subcomisión encargada de supervisar el apoyo exterior, rechazó avalar estos fondos destinados al Plan Mérida ante los informes de abusos cometidos por el Ejército mexicano en la lucha antinarco.
