I noticd that the station mixer has a little effects feature.

I brought my new mixer from home for this show so I could try out some of the effects. Vox come through loud and clear.

Half an hour into the show, I learned that Gabby Giffords and others were shot.  I was shocked and horrified, and I think you can tell that in my voice when I announced it.  I didn't feel I could continue the show, so I stopped it after just one hour.  I went home and watched a bit of the coverage on TV before heading over to the vigil at El Tiradito.

I did this show the day AFTER New Year's Day since we weren't broadcasting on the FM on 1/1/11.  Turns out all the cold weather on NYE wasn't so great for me.  I mention during the show that I hope I'm not getting sick.  I missed the next four days of work with a severe cold and fever.

Here's more of the December 4th, 2010, episode that featured an interview with Brian Lopez of Mostly Bears.  The archive broke up into several pieces and this is the most I could salvage.
