Wow! What fun I had celebrating May Day on my show. Songs about work and workers. May Day audio greetings from Jaan Laaman, a political prisoner recently moved to Fed. prison here in Tucson. A huge, massive, legendary episode! If I do say so myself. This stop on the World Tour '09 was alot of fun, even if it did take me a couple weeks to get my head around it all (lots of Japanese characters in the iTunes, etc.) The show contains Japanese folk and blues, ultra-hard rock, punk, "J-Pop", Psychedelia, Noise and experimental. Just about everything! Enjoy!!!

A Great show again this week with 2 brand-new tracks from The Fall, "Outsider" artists Carl Simmons and Little Stevie McCabe, GarageRock with Dirtbombs, Beasts Of Bourbon and the great Andre Williams, the recently rediscovered 1955 recordings of Connie Converse, some Thai and Cambodian 60's pop, retro fun with Falco and The Flying Lizards and tons more grooviness!

Startin with the heavy. Fuck the Border type stuff. Move into a mish-mash hodge-podge sort of deal with anything from Louis Armstrong to Melvins to 2PAC. Newsy type stuff as well. Local to Global.

A Lotta women rocking the show today: brand new stuff from Ariana Delawari (on David Lynch's label), post-Pocahaunted band Best Coast, the unfortunately-named Sleigh Bells (they're good!), 3 tracks from the new comp "My Estrogeneration". Plus a bunch of Residents in advance of their show in Tucson next month(!).

Some rock, some roll. A bunch of jibba-jabba with Jimmy and in-studio special guest Anarchy Jordan, who also treats us to some original live tunes and some classics for the revolution.

I Dispensed with the new stuff and avant garde this week and just played all-time faves of mine. Thus the years 78-80 take up the majority of this playlist. Punk and Post-Punk: Clash, Sham 69, Damned. Delta 5, Gang Of Four, Swell Maps, etc. A nice "Guilty Pleasures" set at the end. Enjoy!

. Cold Cave, Times New Viking, Bunny Brains, Ariel Pink, and so much more. These were some of my faves of the past year. I won't use the highly subjective term "Best Albums". Some were just singles. Some were songs I liked a lot from just OK albums, etc. This is a straight, high quality playlist recording as my stream archive failed (again).
